GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just got word that my dad's cancer has not spread at all!!!!! The cancer is still in the same location that it was when it was discovered in May! Dad will resume with chemo next week! We are all so happy with the results!!!!!! Maybe my dad will beat the odds once again!!!! He is proof miracles do exist!

10 Months Old

Time is just slipping away. I can't believe that my little girl is 10 months old already. She is quite comfortable walking with help, but not yet ready to attempt it herself. She is learning to "dance" when she hears music and is a master at kisses!!!! She waves bye-bye now and is getting pretty good at using her sippy cup. She is still not crawling, but she gets around real quick by scooting on her butt. She had to go to the doctor yesterday due to a rash along her diaper line. It started out as one spot and then continued to spread. Anyway it is a bacterial infection so she has to be on a special cream for it. It does not seem to hurt, at least she doesn't act like it does. Anyway, that is what is new as far as Kaylin goes!

Our Week

Our week was pretty quiet during the day with the school age children back in school. I got Kaylin's old bouncer out for a one month old that I babysit and Kaylin was so excited to see her favorite toy back in sight. My niece Alishia stopped on Tuesday night to see us before heading to Bristol, TN with Jeannine, Darin, Jim, Laurie, our cousins Diane and Kevin and Rod Templeton. On Wednesday night our friends Kim and Bubba came up for supper. Thursday we went to Kim and Michael's for our weekly "playdate". Julie and Jenna were in Davenport so Kim, Drew, Kaylin and I went to meet them for supper at Texas Roadhouse. This weekend should be a quiet one, we have absolutely no plans, but to hang out with Kim and Bubba. Then next weekend it is off to Chicago for my cousin Paul's wedding.

Chad's 10 Year Reunion

Chad had his 10 year class reunion on Saturday night at the Steeplegate in Davenport (which was also my niece Amy's 10 year). Ironically, Chad's brother Matt and his girlfriend Sarah were back in town from Denver for a surprise 30th birthday party which also happened to be at the Steeplegate in the bar. Once the class reunion broke up we went to the bar to hang out with them and to hang out with friends. We visited, danced and had a good time.

The Animal Lover

Kaylin has turned into quite the animal lover (I don't know where she got that from). She giggles whenever she sees a dog. Our friends Kim and Bubba have 2 dogs and a baby kitten and Kaylin gets a kick out of following them around the house. She loves our dogs and they are really good with her. We are working with her on being nice to them, as she does not know that pulling the dogs tails and ears hurts them. Here are a few photos of her with our dogs Bella (beagle) and Kinnick (miniature weiner dog), our other dog Emma is a little older and avoids Kaylin.

The Weekend

Thursday Kaylin and I went to Kim and Michael's to grill out. Julie and Jenna stopped in so we sat around and chatted. Kim and I took the kids outside to sit on the swing that Michael had just put together. Kaylin and Drew both love being outside. Friday night was pretty quiet. On Saturday I went shopping with my friend Kim and then came home to pick up Kaylin and our dogs to have a overnight stay with Grandma and Grandpa Sparks. It was Kaylin's first overnight with them. Chad and I then went to Davenport for a "date". The first time we had been on a "date" since Kaylin was born. We went to eat at the Olive Garden and then miniature golfing. Sunday I went to pick up Kaylin and the dogs. Kaylin was sitting on my mom's lap and could have cared less that I got there. It took almost a 1/2 hour before she even reached for me (little stinker). Mom and Dad said Kaylin was so good for them, and said she was such a HAPPY girl the whole time.

Random

Monday I had a dentist appointment in Clinton so I took the day off of babysitting. Amy and Emma watched Kaylin and then after I picked her up we headed to Kim and Michael's for Kaylin and Drew's weekly "playdate".
