11 Months Old

Where does time go? It is so hard to believe that in one month, my baby girl will be 1 already. She is quite the character. She loves to entertain, and she is pretty sure she is the funniest person. She loves her baths and is not scared of water at all. She sticks her face under the water and tries to drink it. She is cruising all over along the furniture. She has tried some table food and is sure that whatever Chad or I are eating is hers. What a joy this little girl is!!!!

Updates

Wow guess I haven't updated in awhile! Lets see, the day of the Iowa vs. Iowa State game Kaylin and I spent the day at our friends Kim and Bubba's while Chad went to the game. Kaylin had a ball with their dogs Maggie (black lab) and Rex (Kinnick's brother). They also have a kitten, but Kaylin wasn't too sure of it. After Chad got back into town, he came and got Kaylin so I could go eat with Kim and Bubba (Chad ate on his way home).

This past weekend we went camping with Kim and Bubba in Bellevue. Kaylin spent the weekend (first whole weekend away from me) with Grandma and Grandpa Sparks. They took her to the Northeast football game Friday night, they said she loved it. Camping was fun and relaxing, but I was ready to get back to my baby on Sunday!

Kaylin has been standing up and cruising the furniture if somebody puts her up next to it, but would not actually pull herself up to it. Well yesterday when I went up to get her from her nap, she was standing in her crib, so of course I ran downstairs to get the camera!!! Last night, she decided she was brave enough, and pulled herself up to the couch! Now of course she thinks she has conquered this and pulls herself up to everything. I am anticipating that she will be walking in no time!

Brooklynn, a little girl I babysit that is a month older than Kaylin, turned 1 today. Yesterday we had a little "party" for her with the daycare kids. Kaylin REALLY enjoyed the cupcake!!!!

Weekend

Saturday Chad went to the Iowa football game, so Kaylin and I went to a wedding with Drew and Michael that Kim was in (I also know the bride and groom). We went to the recpetion for a little bit and then Michael took Kaylin, Drew and I back to their house to meet Chad and so we could watch Drew. Kaylin was exhausted when we got there. Chad and I got the kids in their pajamas and fed. Chad ended up taking Kaylin home to put her in bed. Drew and I played for a little bit and then he fell asleep in his swing. It was great to get to spend time with Drew!!!!!

C-H-I-C-A-G-O

Over the weekend we went to Chicago for my cousin Paul's wedding. We stayed at Hilton Garden Inn. There was a lot of family from out of town, so it was wonderful to see everyone. Friday afternoon we went swimming. Kaylin did not like it much at first, but then she decided it was really fun. Friday night we hung out and ordered pizza and then I went to go visit with some of the family. Saturday I did Amy, Kim and Emma's hair for the wedding. Amy and Kim were bridesmaids and Emma was the flowergirl. After I got them done I did my cousin Diane's hair and my Aunt Jeannine's hair. Then it was time to get myself and Kaylin ready. We went to the wedding and after the wedding back to the hotel before heading off to the reception. My parents took Kaylin back to the hotel with them so Chad and I could hang out with family. It was a very fun, but exhausting weekend.

My Birthday

Thursday was my birthday. My mom and dad, Amy, Kim, Emma, Kaylin and I went to eat at Olive Garden in Davenport.
