Father's Day
Chad had his first Father's Day. Kaylin got him a cd that he wanted and a World's Best Dad t-shirt. In the afternoon we went to my parents where we ate, played bags, talked and laughed. It was a good day!

SO BIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kaylin is getting so big. She is now sitting up by herself and has developed quite the temper when you take something away from her or when she doesn't get her own way. Chad says he is never taking her shopping because she will throw a fit whenever she gets told no. My dad loves it and thinks it is quite funny, after all that is how his baby girl (me) acted when she was little. In about 13 days Kaylin's partner in crime, my niece Kim's baby, is due to be born. We continue to pray for a safe labor and delivery for both mom and baby and a healthy baby boy.

The Weekend
This weekend was a busy one for us. Chad had his cousin's wedding in Michigan and I had my friend Michele's wedding in Cedar Rapids. Friday night Kaylin and I headed to Bennett to my sister Julie's house. Julie babysat her while I went to the rehearsal dinner. Kaylin and I both stayed at Julie's Friday night. Saturday, I got up, played with Kaylin a bit and hit the road to leave for Cedar Rapids at 9:30 am. Kaylin spent the day with Julie, Craig, Alishia and Jenna and then came to the wedding with them. After the wedding the wedding party got in a Hummer stretch limo and headed off to Kinnick Staduim for pictures on the football field. Kaylin went to the reception with Julie and Craig. After the pictures we left for the reception, where I said good-bye for the night to Kaylin. We spent our very first night away from each other, with her staying at Julie and Craig's; and my niece Alishia and I staying at the Hampton Inn. We surprisingly both survived (: Here are just a few pictures. On Sunday, we spent most of the day at Julie and Craig's and then made a quick trip home to pick up Chad and we headed off to my nephew Justin's birthday party. It was a very busy, exhausting weekend, but it was a lot of fun.

7 Months
Kaylin is already 7 months old. I know I say this every month, but I can't believe how fast time is flying. It seems like only yesterday that she was born. She had her 7 month checkup yesterday and shots ): She weighs 15 lbs. 6 oz and is 26 1/2". She is very active and never sits still. She is very nosey. She is sitting up on her own and FINALLY rolled from her back to her belly. She is almost always happy and only cries when she is tired or hungry. She is such a joy and brings so many people happiness.

Update
My dad got home from the hospital and is doing very well. He says he is feeling good and he seems to be in good spirits. Here are a few pictures from times we have gone to visit.

Updates
Sorry I have not updated in a while, we have been very busy. May 9th we attended my cousins wedding reception. It was a sports theme, so we all wore our favorite sports attire. I had my first Mother's Day with Kaylin. We spent the afternoon at my mom and dad's to celebrate with all the moms in the family. May 14, my dad had surgery to remove stomach cancer that they thought was contained. This is his 3rd battle with cancer. The surgeon opened him up and found that the cancer has spread and was not contained as they originally thought. My dad will meet with his oncologist next week to find out his chemotherapy options. Kaylin was at the hospital the day of the surgery. We were there from about 10 am to 10 pm and she did wonderful. She brought a smile to everyones face after such devestating news. She went up to the hospital to see her Grandpa almost everyday and really wanted to get her hands on his NG tube that was in his nose. We of course as a family will stick together and of course we will continue to hope and pray for a miracle. My dad has beat the odds before, so who says he won't do it again.
