First Tooth

Kaylin FINALLY had, not one, but 2 teeth break through. She now has two little stubs on the bottom front. She has not been cranky at all, so hopefully she continues to be a happy baby through getting the rest!!!!

The Weekend

Saturday night Ashley, Lindsey and Justin threw a surprise anniversary party for Joe and Kelly. Joe and Kelly were definitely surprised. They had a really good turn out and the kids even arranged for karaoke. My family loves karaoke, but unfortunately not one of us is very good at it. Oh well, it is all in good fun. Kaylin fell asleep at about 9:00, only to wake up around midnight to find out what was going on. She listened intently for a while before deciding she had enough and went back to sleep. It was a great time and it was nice to see and visit with people we hadn't seen in a while.

Our week

Wednesday night we went to a bar and grill in Savanna called Poopy's for my cousin Kathleen's birthday and Joe and Kelly's anniversary. The food was really good. Thursday night we took supper to Kim and Michael. We ate, visited, and played with Kaylin and Drew.

8 months old

Kaylin is already 8 months old. She is quite the entertainer. She is sitting all by herself now, and she has decided she likes this. She is very nosey and sitting up gives her the chance to look at EVERYTHING. With that being said, I am starting to think she is not going to crawl. She refuses to lay on the floor now and she is learning to scoot on her butt. She is probably going to just scoot on her butt and then learn to walk. She loves playing in her walker. She does not walk in it she runs, and she really gets a kick out of chasing the dogs (they don't find it quite as funny, she has gotten their paws a couple times). The dogs absolutely adore Kaylin and they are always so excited to see her. She is now laughing in reaction to your laugh. She loves to laugh and it is the most beautiful sound.

The Weekend

Saturday we had my cousin Sean's wedding in Clinton. Beforehand we went to Kim and Michael's to spend some time with them and Drew. A lot of my relatives were back for the wedding. My Aunt Jeannine from Florida is back along with cousins from Tennesee, Florida, and Illinois. It was great to see everyone.

The First Meeting......

Kim and Drew (and Michael) got home from the hospital yesterday, so Kaylin and I went to go visit. Kaylin finally met her future partner in crime. Kaylin was quite intrigued with him. We laid them on the floor together and she was trying to grab him and at one part had him by the hair. I'm sure in a year or two Drew will pay her back for it. Michael had made the comment that Kaylin used to be a runt until Drew was born. She did look HUGE next to him. Here are some pictures of the meeting.....

Drew Michael Fischer entered this world today at 3:55 pm weighing 7 lbs. 14 oz. 21" long. He has a head full of hair. They ended up not giving Kim potocin, but broke her water and she progressed all on her own. He is beautiful and I can only imagine what kind of trouble him and Kaylin will get into.
